Tim Dahle Nissan Murray
Dealership Sales Review
Just found this site, and as I promised myself, I would be sure to tell the story of my bad experience at Tim Dahle Nissan Murray. Every chance I get I let people know not to buy or lease from this place. I turned in my 2016 Rogue to upgrade to a 2019 Rogue SV. Found the color I wanted (a rare color). It seemed to be an easy process but it quickly went south. First the small stuff : when they couldn't get my licence plates off my old car, my salesperson assured me he would personally remove them as they were an older style, collectors edition plates and I was going to use them for my new car. He failed to save them and he just shrugged when I asked him about it. They were plates my late father got me for my car years ago. I took him at his word and he failed me. Second: 10 days into my lease I started to hear a "clunking sound" in my back wheels anytime I would turn. At the same time my AEB system would randomly engage and would slam on the brakes for no reason. I took the car into the dealership 13 days after purchase. After 5 days without my new car, they told me the couplers were broken on the back wheels (I think that's what they are called). So they fixed it under the warranty. But I was concerned that my brand new car, that should've been inspected before being sold, was sold to me with bad parts. As for the AEB they said the computer didn't show anything so, as the guy in the service department said, it's either the way you are driving it or its all in your mind". After a few more of those digs at my driving and talking down to me, I asked for a manager. I received the same attitude from him as well. I never received the obligatory review email for the service department as my email had been typed in wrong (saw it on the invoice they gave me). I asked to speak to the customer liaison guy, and asked since I was only two weeks from my initial purchase if they would take the car back, i was willing to forgo my down payment. They refused. When I pointed out article after article of issues with the AEB in 2016 - 2019 they shrugged and said they had never heard about those issues. Nissan corporate was no help. They "investigated" my complaint, and surprise, was in agreement with the dealership. They wouldn't let me return the car, but they gave me a one month credit on my account. Since 2019, I've had to turn off all the special assistance buttons (AEB, cameras, cruise control, blind spot, etc) because I was/am fearful that if I leave all those on the random braking would continue. So I've had a leased car for 2.5 yrs and am counting down the days to drop this hunk of junk back to the dealership and then NEVER purchase from them or Nissan again. Oh, and I was yelled at by the customer service liaison guy because I gave them all low scores on their survey they sent about a week after purchase. That is when I was having issues and was having a hard time getting their service department to help me. My car was broken, it was randomly stopping for no reason, and he expected me to rave about the dealership? no way. And ever since then, i go out of my way to tell my story of the horrible, awful, craptacular dealership known as Tim Dahle Nissan of Murray.
