My experience was two years ago. I was shopping for an Aveo. I had specifics on which trim I wanted and what options. The whole interview took about an hour. When I tried to bring the salesperson's attention to my preferences, he would start talking about something else. I also said I was not interested in spending over a specific amount for the car, yet he kept trying to jack up the price, saying things like "the car you want doesn't exist." After an hour of stonewalling, I left to see other dealerships. A week and a half later, he called to tell me that he could get the car that "didn't exist." By that time, I was so turned off by his attitude that I declined the offer.
