Long Term Customer buys at North Central again ..

Hi .. I recently purchased a 2015 Ford Taurus. I do love the ride and features of the car tremendously ! And, this is the 3rd vehicle purchase for me at North Central. I happened to select a model ( white Taurus ) that had a defective ETB; or, electronic throttle body.. and, I discovered fairly quickly that this particular part has been problematic in several models ( Taurus and I'm forgetting other ) with a fairly high degree of occurrence. The car literally died on me and my salesperson during my test drive, on Hwy. 75 ( Central Expy, Richardson, Tx ) - it totally stalled out. Most people would've walked away from that vehicle right then.. but, I love this car; and, have always had a great experience at this dealer before; and, overall I believe in Ford Motors. I must comment though that even though this problem with defective ETB's has been with Ford for at least a 2 -3 year window, apparently the company is still having problems manufacturing a quality part from their vendor list; and then, distributing the part in a timely manner - particularly to a dealer where the vehicle has been sold;and, the customer is waiting ! That brings me to point #2 - this car should've been flagged "Do Not Sell" until serviced.. apparently, it wasn't. This made for a lengthy buying / taking possession of the Taurus process for me. I remember when the Ford motto was: "Quality is Job 1 " Having said all that, I must say that I still enjoy doing business with North Central Ford - they have many quality employees, including my Sales Person, Damita Kynard .. the Sales Director, Nino Mansour .. and everyone I have dealt with the past 16 year in the Service Dept. The whole Department is great ! --- I do have just one more constructive comment .. keep a little more than 1 - 2 gallons of gas in these vehicles on the lot .. my car was "running on fumes" - 35 miles to go; and, when we first stalled, thought perhaps car was out of gas - running these vehicles, even for test drives, that empty, is hard on the fuel filters. That's all from the "negative" comment file .. I realize that these cars are more and more advanced; so, unfortunately, that means part failures occur more often. Everything else I would say about my experience with Ford in general, is good ! As I said before: I believe in Ford Motors .. I even have Ford stock now.
