Kia theft recall

onI never received a call to let me know my car was ready. Instead I called service dept. and was told it would have to be 4-5 days because that’s how far behind they are. When I set the appt. They said we could probably go eat breakfast and it would be ready. I am not able to leave my car anywhere for 4-5 days I work. When I got there to pickup my car they informed me that the work had been done. I don’t know if it was or not because the news stated that the recall update isn’t working
