AutoNation purchased my vehicle. From the beginning they explain it’s a 15 minute appraisal process, and then you sign trade documents and get a check printed or money sent by zelle to you, totaling 45 minutes as explained by sales staff. I was there for over 5 hours, finally received a check (they offered to zelle or print check initially but then told me they would print a check that would be available immediately, which also was untrue.) Now I have received a letter from my bank regarding the check I deposited 7 days ago and they state it has not been paid so they are holding it for an additional 2 weeks. Bottom line, don’t go to AutoNation. They tell you what you want to hear but do not follow through, not at all. If you are ok with spending over 5 hours in a dealership to sell your vehicle and not have the money for the vehicle you own now for 3 weeks then this is your place, if not don’t bother.
