Dealership Service Review
I have no complaints about the service work actually performed and I think my service advisor did everything he could to ensure I received good service. My complaint is regarding how long my vehicle has to sit at AutoNation before the diagnosis can even start. I called on a Monday to schedule service. The scheduler said I could drop it off on Wedneday. I said fine and dropped it off Wednesday morning. My vehicle didn't even get looked at until the following Monday. This is a common occurence for me with AutoNation and I don't run into this with other dealers or repair shops. I totally understand that service departments are busy and it takes time between my request for service and when they can start the diagnostic process. But why do I have to surrender my vehicle for 3 business days plus the weekend before they even look at it? Why can't they schedule for me to bring it in the day they'll be able to look at it? Or perhaps one day ahead - I know they want to make sure they don't run out of work. But multiple days have never made any sense and I have been experiencing that with AutoNation for years. I don't run into this problem at other places. I have a service agreement on my vehicle so I am stuck with Chrysler for repairs. I have used other Chrysler dealers in the past but AutoNation is much closer to where I live. The truth is that I have been dealing with this for years at AutoNation and it no longer bothers me because I have come to expect it. I wasn't really even planning on submitting a review but AutoNation has emailed me 3 times asking for a review so I'm finally giving in and submitting one.
