Gullo Ford of Conroe - The Woodlands

The transmission on our Murano suddenly needed replacement, placing my wife in an immediate need of a vehicle. Placing us in a somewhat desperate situation, we quickly found a deal on an SUV at Gullo that was hard to pass up. What should have been a simple process considering I was pre-approved by my credit union and my wife was ready to leave a down payment the same day she test drove the vehicle, this place just could not make anything simple. For some reason the salesman could not take the debit card down payment, but by day's end, he was asking my wife when she could return to leave the payment. My credit union informed me that Gullo would only accept a cashier's check and that I would be bringing the check with me when I picked up the vehicle; however, they asked the C.U. to send them a photo of the check while they waited, something my C.U. said they have never been asked before. Gullo contacted me more than once wanting to know when I would be there, even though I made it quite clear of the game plan. It was almost as though they thought I was going to back out on the deal, even though they spoke with my C.U. and had our down payment. Believe it or not, the day before I was to pick up the vehicle, the SUV was still shown to be for sale and they informed me the price was lowered, after the check had already been made. Not sure why they did it, but good for me because I received an overpayment check, although I had to remind them of the new price which they weren't going to bring up when I picked up the vehicle. Oh, and the morning I picked up the vehicle, I listed to two salesmen cursing at one another over the sale of a vehicle apparently one took from the other. Highly professional. My wife told me to walk away from this place if they angered me once more when I went to pick up the car. Had it not been for our situation, the current state of car buying our country is experiencing, and Gullo having the car I needed, I would have taken my business elsewhere. I do not recommend this place to any of my family or friends and will tell them all what I experienced.
