Buying a vehicle is usually such a stressful experience. I have been pleasantly surprised not once but twice with Vandergriff. In 2004 my husband and I leased a Honda Accord. They gave us an amazing deal and really worked with us. This past weekend we were ready to test drive a Honda Odessey. Since we had such a great experience there before we decided to go back. Our car salesman was wonderful! He was attentive without being pushy and took the time to explain many of the features in detail. When it came time to talk money we were spoken to with respect and consideration. We had a definite price point and were never encouraged to go over. Instead our salesperson worked with the finance team to find us different options. In fact, we asked to see the difference between a lease and purchase of a vehicle. They not only provided those two options but added three options for the lease (12,000 miles, 15,000 miles, 18,000). This really helped us to see all the choices we had available to us. We were so happy with the offer they gave us for our vehicle. Once we made our decision my husband and I were taken to the finance department to sign papers. Each paper presented to sign was explained in detail and the numbers were listed exactly as shown by the salesman. No surprises or tricks. This is usually where most dealerships end their process. That is not the case for Vandergriff. They go above and beyond to make sure that your new vehicle is explained to you. I am not a technology saavy person and thankfully I didn't have to be. My new blue tooth option was set up for me and then I was shown the process step-by-step. I went home knowing my car inside and out! Start to finish this process took about three hours. My husband and I were given many opportunities to talk as a family about the decisions were making. The employees gave us our space and as much time as we needed and the only idle time we had was initiated by us to make our decision. Some of process requires time such as test driving, learning about the vehicle, going over the finances and preparation of the vehicle (if purchased). From beginning to end this process was professional and we were shown complete respect. The best part was we could see the employees working together as a team to help us get a great deal for our family.
