Dealership Service Review
I scheduled an appointment to fix a few issues as the text msg. screen shot shows. This review mainly addresses the water intrusion at the rear window. The truck was dropped off for service with advisor Bill, the issue was diagnosed and I was informed that the repair would cost $860 or so, to which I consented. Days after the repair I noticed water continued to leak at the same spot at the rear window. I returned the truck to the dealership for this issue. Bill reached out and stated it would be $275 to repair the rear window leak. Dismayed, figuring the previous payment should have covered the repair, I called for clarification. Apparently, the repair that was done consisted of sealing the rear spoiler. However, had there been a leak at the rear spoiler the headliner would show water marks; there are none. In the end, Bill had the repair done "at no cost". How I see it, I was overcharged nearly $600 and, due to a lack of care, I now have a truck with a prominent ding on my tailgate, scuffs on the bedside from failure to use fender covers, and grease marks on the headliner--I'll try to load these photos later. Mind you I purchased this truck for about $87,000 and a $72,000 '23 XT6 Sport from the sister Cadillac nextdoor in the span of two years, both with extended warranties. Needless to say I'll be requesting a prorated refund of my extended warranties, I'll be taking my service needs and future purchases elsewhere, and I'll be sharing my experience on other platforms, with friends and family.
