Dealership Sales Review
Our 2007 Prius was totaled in 2017 and needed replacing. In the past I had purchased Toyotas from Gresham Toyota. They also serviced our 2007 Prius. So April 2018 I decided to purchase a new Prius from Gresham Toyota. I prefer red, which Wilsonville had advertised. I asked the Gresham salesman and sales manager if they would call and see if Wilsonville would do a trade, That way I would have the red Prius and Gresham would get the sale. Trading cars between dealerships use to be a normal practice when a dealership did not have the car the customer wanted. Their reaction was childish as if I was asking them to do something terrible immoral and refused to call. I should have walked, but didn’t. We did purchase a Prius from Gresham. The salesman said their bonus was based on an evaluation from the buyers. The salesman used an email from his little book saying that way we would not get a bunch of junk mail. Needless to say we also did not receive any type of evaluation form concerning our experience. I sent an email to Gresham Toyota explaining my concerns and did not receive a reply. When Gresham Toyota called to schedule my first oil change I told the caller that I would not be doing business with them. She offered to have the sales manager call me. I still have not heard from the sales manager. The sale seems more important than customer good will. I am a loyal Toyota customer but will never again do business with Gresham Toyota. Keep in mind I had purchased a total of 5 new Toyotas over 45 years. I purchased 4 of these new Toyotas from Gresham Toyota. Never again will I purchase anything from Gresham Toyota.
