(3/18/22) Went in person to look at a car that showed online they had. No car which wasn’t surprising and not really a big deal. Test drove a similar car they had on the lot and after spending almost an hour at the dealership and starting paperwork on a car they had on order we were informed of a large dealer markup. My wife and I stopped the paperwork and left feeling the salesman was not upfront about it. Later that day I notice there was an option to purchase the car online through them advertised below MSRP. I decided to attempt this option and after going through the entire process I get a call from a lady at the dealership saying they were canceling my order and that if wanted the car I would have to go in person and pay the mark up. This would have been frustrating and not a huge deal except for the fact a hard credit check had been run (not good for a credit score). If this practice isn’t illegal it certainly is unethical. Avoid this dealership at all cost.
