Dealership Sales Review
I purchase a new 2014 Honda Odyssey Touring Elite, the most expensive vehicle on the lot. The salesperson struck a pole and dented the fender prior to delivery. The salesperson and General Manager assured me that the dent would be taken care of and they would accommodate me with a comparable or better loaner vehicle while the Van is repaired. I go back in a few days later and I am offered a 4 year old Van. After I refuse this vehicle I am given a 2 year old van they just took in on trade- the van is dirty, smelly and still has trash and belongings from the previous owner. At this point I'm frustrated and take the van, then I realize the gas gauge is on "E". The following day I call the General Manager, he seems "put off" and tells me he is calling in a favor to have the dent repaired. When I pick-up the van the General Manager pats me on the back and tells me " next time you're in the area I will help you out with some gas". Recap...I spend $42K on a new van, the dealer dents the van before I take delivery of it. Then the dealer/GM is "put out" and has to call in a favor to have the vehicle repaired. To make matters worse the dealer provides me with a less than accommodating loaner vehicle.
