Dealership Sales Review
This was our second try at All American Ford. We felt like just another number walking in the first time a year ago and left without purchasing. So impersonal, so cold. The only reason we tried it again was that they happened to have the vehicle we wanted to test drive in their lot. When I called over to check if they had that car available I specifically told the woman on the phone I did Not want to be called back for any reason other than for her to confirm the car was there. Not even 5 minutes later a different salesperson called me confirming my appointment to test drive the car. What? I never made an appointment, and made it clear I was not going to. We were just popping in sometime that afternoon. That should have been my first hint. When my husband, children, and I arrived at All American, Claudia was assigned to us. Wow, she couldn't have been more miserable. Barely cracked a smile. Everyone has a bad day but gosh, we felt like she was annoyed with our presence. When my husband went to retrieve our kids' booster seats she actually told us to leave our kids behind and she would drive with one of us at a time. Seriously?! Who says that?! The point is to see if the entire Family is comfortable and if the car will be practical for us. We all fit fine, btw. Claudia didn't talk about any features, so when we asked her questions she would shrug or just say "mm hmm". When we arrived back at the lot and went back to her desk it took 45 minutes (no exaggerating!) for her to answer one tiny little question, ignoring us while she typed, walked away a few times, and answered a phone call while we were waiting for the answer to our question. She rolled her eyes while helping whomever was on the line and never once apologized for taking a call mid-session. We left when our question was finally answered (by someone else) and will never, never go back there again. We purchased our new Ford vehicle at a different local dealer 2 days later. What a contrast in environments and friendly, personal service! The salesperson greeted us (my kids too!) with a genuine friendly smile, showed us what they had in the lot, and answered ALL of our questions quickly. He made a copy of my husband's license and handed us the keys so we could drive it alone and see how we feel in the car as a family. Smiles, courtesy, respect, and product knowledge. True customer service. Everything All American is lacking.
