All American Ford in Old Bridge
Dealership Sales Review
I put down a credit card deposit of $500.00 on a 2013 Ford Fusion on a Saturday; this deposit was to hold the car until Monday. I decided I did not want to purchase this car, and called All-American Ford Monday morning to inform them. I asked them to immediately refund the deposit, which they agreed to do. I checked my credit card account on Wednesday, which showed the $500.00 charge on Saturday, but no refund. I called All-American Ford, asked to speak with a sales manager, and was connected to Joe P. who said he would check on this for me. He called back about 1/2 hour later and asked for my credit card number. He could not explain why they had my credit card information to change me $500.00, but not to issue a refund, nor why no one called me back on Monday for this information when they were supposed to issue the refund. He told me that refunds can take up to 48 hours to show on my statement. I checked my credit card on Friday, 48 hours later, and the refund was still not showing. I called Joe P. again and told him the refund still wasn't showing up on my statement. He was now quite rude, frequently interrupting me, saying that he told me if takes 48 hour, and that since he had already told me that, why was I hassling him about this. Sorry, Joe, it's my $500.00 that All-American had use of for three additional days (its interesting that the credit card charge goes through immediately, but a refund takes two days ). I'll bet if it was your $500.00, you'd be all over the dealer to get it resolved. Joe, I'm a potential customer; All-American Ford messed-up, and instead of apologizing for this, you accuse me of hassling you??? I may still buy a Ford Fusion, but it definitely will not be from All-American Ford.
