Stevens 112 Ford

We kind of reluctantly went to Stevens in Patchogue to look at an MKX. Several years ago we had always purchased our vehicles through them and then ran into a real bad sales and service experience and just stopped using them. It was that bad. Much to our surprise, they have really stepped up their game. We were in the lot looking at the MKX when we were approached by Bobby the sales rep. He was moving some cars around, saw us and walked over. We discussed briefly what we were looking to do and he began showing us a couple of the modles they had and discussed some options of possibly getting a left over 2009. In a few minutes we decided we wanted a 2010 model and picked out 2. we went inside, he did some additional research to see if there were any other models around the area with some particular color schemes we really wanted, but they were not available. It was concerning the seat piping mostly which was not a big deal. We finally decided on the vehicle which was Ingot Silver with dark piping. Bobby was really good at explaining what all the combo's were and it appeared this would be the best choice for us. We had a vehicle coming off lease from another Ford dealer that needed to be turned in and wanted to purchase the MKX not lease it. We went through the pricing, but, could not come to an agreement on price, and the monthly payment was going to be way to high. After some discussion we decided it was to much, Bobby Thanked us for our time and we were on our way. On our way home I realized I may have confused him with the return of the lease which was driving the price up on the MKX along with not being clear on how much we could/would put down on it. I called him back, left a voice mail with our offer and better description of what we wanted to do. He called back, had an even better offer, so off we went back to the dealer. With-in 15 minutes, we had a deal with a down payment that we planned and a monthly payment right in line with what we wanted. They took our lease return, we finished the paper work and in about 2 hours we driving home in our new MKX. I will say, Steven's has really cleaned up their act. Bobby was a perfectly honest the entire time, did not try to scheme up plans to get a sale and communicated very well. If you go to Stevens, ask for him. You won't be disappointed. Their finance group did a real nice job getting all the paperwork processed in a timely fashion and helped get our plates returned from the lease return. I would highly recommend going there if you're looking for a Ford product as they treated us exceptionally.
