I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at the Lexus dealership in Latham. I was initially excited about the prospect of purchasing a Lexus GX, but my encounter with the dealership left me with a sour taste in my mouth. My journey began when I scheduled an appointment to meet with a salesperson at 2 PM. I received confirmation of the appointment, but when the time came, the salesperson was a no-show at his own dealership. This was an inauspicious start, to say the least, but I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and started fresh with a different salesperson.After some back-and-forth discussions, test drives, and running numbers, we couldn't come to an agreement on the financial terms. However, the manager intervened and offered what seemed to be a reasonable deal. but i had to leave that day. To my astonishment, a few days later, I received a call from Sean, who was trying to set up another appointment and present me with lease deals from their website. I was puzzled because I had already committed to a deal and provided them with a substantial sum of $10,092 in cash to secure a monthly payment of $669 for the Lexus GX. This was a figure that had been provided to me in writing. However, it seems that the dealership had a change of heart and suddenly became unwilling to negotiate the terms or honor the previously agreed-upon monthly payment. They attempted to backtrack and suggested a higher monthly payment of $718. This abrupt reversal left me utterly frustrated and disappointed. Frankly, if it weren't for my brother's glowing recommendation of the Lexus GX, I would have never set foot in this dealership, and I certainly won't be returning. I understand that these are challenging times for businesses, but it's the management's approach that truly made the experience twice as difficult and disheartening. The lack of professionalism, commitment to honoring agreements, and overall inconsistency in their dealings has left me with a deep sense of dissatisfaction. I hope my feedback serves as a reminder to the management at Lexus Latham that customer trust is a valuable asset that should never be taken lightly or undermined in such a manner.
