Sold our car after entering into contract with us

We entered into a verbal contract with a salesperson, provided credit card information for the deposit over the phone, and were told by the salesperson that the car was ours. We recorded the conversation. Four hours later, the GM called back and said they already sold it to someone else in breach of our verbal contract. BBB complaint has been filed, and you have been warned. Stay far away from this unethical dealer!

Customer satisfaction is our top priority and we would never want someone leaving our dealership feeling unhappy. We are truly sorry that the vehicle you were interested in ended up being sold and we do hope we have the opportunity to restore your faith in our dealership in the future. We did send you another vehicle that is similar to the vehicle you inquired about. Unfortunately the vehicle was sold prior to you giving us a deposit.
We do not have only one salesperson and we do not adhere to any verbal agreements. Any deal must be accompanied by a purchase order signed by you the customer and the sales manager approving the agreement. I understand your frustration in not finding the same car anywhere else.
