Bronx Honda

I visited Bronx Honda ready to purchase a HR-V EX-L in a specific color. I had an Edmunds Price Promise which I felt was a very good and fair price for both myself and the dealer. I scheduled my appointment with Jadira and she assured me the price promise included everything except accessories, tax, and registration. When I got to dealership, I met with Jadira and she got me Jordana (apologies if it is spelled incorrectly) to make the sale. Jordana was very personable and helpful. She again assured me that the Price Promise included everything it should. She was also helpful in trying to get some extras included in the price. The sales manager didn't go for this but I figured it was worth a shot knowing it probably wouldn't fly. So we came to a deal and she drew up the paperwork. I made sure all the numbers were correct and we settled on a deal. When I had arrived at Bronx Honda, Jordana was very honest about their inventory. She said that despite what their websites inventory says, they did not have the car I was looking for. Jordana did assure me that they could order the vehicle I wanted and that the sales manager said probably in 4-5 days. With this I left a deposit for the vehicle. At the end of the night (after closing), we were going to finalize the signatures but the Sales Manager had left. We were told we would have to come back the next day. To be honest, this did worry me and I was afraid the deal would be compromised. I came back the next day and spoke to Shawn the Sales Manager. He was very honest about the unrealistic wait time I had been told. I was retold 4-6 weeks because they would likely have to do a factory order. I was given the option to get my deposit back but I decided to stick it out. I was also delighted to find that everything with the paperwork had been the same as the night before and I was able to finalize it. To summarize, I spent 2.5 hrs at Bronx Honda, but it wasn't all spent with hard negotiating. I felt like it was more time spent building a relationship. I felt like the price I got was fair (and yes I did 6 weeks worth of extensive research and 2 test drives). I am happy they were honest and honored everything I was quoted and told over the phone. The reason I did not give 5 stars is simply because I had to go back the next day to finalize everything which was annoying. Also, I am generally annoyed by businesses that show inventory on the web that isn't accurate in the store. For these reasons I had to give 4 stars. I will update this review when my car comes in and the purchase is complete! I am hoping I can bump it up to 5 stars!!
