Dealership Sales Review
I recently bought a vehicle from this dealer on 12/13/18. Having owned Toyota's in the past and living locally, we wanted to keep our business local. The salesperson, Farrell Caldwell, lied about the features in the vehicle. We routinely expressed we need "lane assist" as i am 75 years old with parkinson's disease. My wife, daughter, and niece all heard him explain several times that it had lane assist but wouldn't engage until driving over 42MPH. When we went to take the vehicle back 7 days later to see why lane assist wasn't working on our 2017 Sienna which we paid $35K for, Runnemede Toyota clarified my vehicle didn't have "lane assist" and my only option was to trade it back in for a vehicle with lane assist. Louis Glasper verified to us we would NOT lose the $10K we put down last week in trading it back in..... yeah,.. I am not feeling confident, but have no other option as I need this feature to keep my family safe while driving. No surprise here folks, the manager smugly explained we lost the $10k in value within a week and we could only afford a new 2019 vehicle leased Sierra. In a nutshell I lost $10k and now have a crazy high payment of 585 per month on a vehicle i don't own. Shame on the manager, Mike Kapelus for allowing this type of behavior in your dealership. Taking advantage of people is not a sustainable business model.
