Route 22 Honda
Dealership Sales Review
I've been to 20+ dealerships in the last 60 days and not once was I rude or disrespectful to any of the employees or the process, nor have I even came close to experiencing what I experienced last friday at route 22 honda in Hillside. First off, Im in a polyamorous relationship with 2 women, both whom were with me at the time because the 2 vehicles I was shopping for was for them. I explained to one Matt Blanchard that I am shopping and am not in a rush to purchase a new vehicle, and that I was in the market for 2 vehicles and would only make a deal if it financially made sense for me considering that I will be having to pay for two car leases. Immediately he started bragging about how this will be my last stop and that he makes the best deals. After about 30 minutes of me filling out the proper paperwork, he went off to work out numbers and returned with another guy, made me his offers, and placed his papers that were supposed to show me why this deal was the best I was going to get anywhere. The numbers didn't make sense to me as I've been paying 365 for my lease for the past 3 years when my credit score was just over 550, now it being at 709 I explained to him that I rather just live out the life of my lease and get the price I deserve when it is up rather than to take his offer, which was 325 per month, for another 3 years. (I'm currently aiming to lease at the under 300 per month range, preferably 250) Which with my current credit score (Tier 1) and where it'll be when my lease is over, as well as my flawless payment history, I'll certainly get my price at that time. That's when everything went left, He assumed that I would jump on this deal and was probably bragging to the guy he was training that he had me locked, I can see him telling the guy "Come dude, let me show you how it's done" because he was very hostile to the fact that I had no interest in his deal. I told him it wasn't in my best interest to take this deal but I appreciate it, but he continued to argue with me, telling me that he's been in the business for years and that he knows what he's talking about, and started to make rude comments about me, telling me that I don't know anything and that he's trying to help me and I'm not making smart decisions. I was speaking directly to him in a calm manner and he was looking at my girls laughing making gestures to them towards me, until one of my girls called him out on it (And I also figured out why he was doing that later that evening, when the girls explained to me that when I left to use the restroom, he questioned them about our relationship and asked them why would they share a guy, that they're both beautiful girls and shouldn't have to share, and was told by one that they're not here to discuss our relationship, they're there to buy cars) It had gotten so annoying that I just cut the conversation and got out my seat, reached to shake his hand, and said thanks. He then turned to me and said "Ok, go get kicked out of every other dealership you go to" I was shocked that he made that statement, and wanted to be sure I heard him right, he repeated what he said laughing and added that I'm dreaming if I think I'm going to get 250 a month on an accord. I told him to watch the way he speaks to me and that I should go to a manager, and he replied "Go talk to a manager, they ain't gonna [non-permissible content removed], I sell too many cars for this company" So I said ok, then went to the front desk and asked to speak to his manager, while waiting he was in the back area of the front desk laughing and whispering in a co workers ear, I called him out on it and he denied it even though he was doing it in front of everyone who he wasn't behind. I spoke to a manager, Freddy, who was very nice, and got me the general sales manager, who seemed completely uninterested in the situation and pointed me to the 1-800 number on the door to file a complaint (Avoiding giving me the gms number), rushing me out, never have I ever been treated this badly, and I am currently trying to get a hold of the gm and owner about my experience.
