Appointment issue

I scheduled my oil change for 15,000. When I bought my car I paid extra to cover servicing charges. When I brought my car in I was told the charge would be $280 and would take 2 1/2 hours. I told the service person I was not prepared to pay that price nor did I have that much time to wait. She apologized and explained that at that mileage there was a special brake servicing. I should have been told this when I made my appointment!!!!!! Regardless she had 2 men work on my car and had my car ready in one hour and also gave m e a 10% discount.
