Archie Cochrane Ford
Dealership Sales Review
In December 2013 I went in to Archie Cochrane to buy a new 2013 F150. I had done extensive research and shopping and knew what I wanted. I just wanted to choose a vehicle and get their best price. The salesman was extremely pushy, abrasive, condescending, demeaning, argumentative, borderline abusive. He tried all the tricks in the sleazy salesman book in an attempt to manipulate me. He wouldn't listen to what I wanted and kept pushing me toward a different engine and driveline. He wouldn't give me a price and kept pushing the paperwork process along as if I had agreed to buy the pickup that I repeatedly insisted that I didn't want. I eventually walked out, told the sales manager why I was leaving and left. Never did get a price for the work pickup they were pushing. It's astonishing to be treated so horribly and even worse when it's such a major purchase - even the smallest product at WalMart has the price clearly listed before you buy. This is the worst sales experience of my 60 years. I will never do business at Archie Cochrane Motors again, including repair or service work. BEWARE of this dealership and their manipulative sales tactics. I went a half mile further down the road and found the Ford pickup I wanted, one year used, at the Chevy dealer and bought it. They treated me well and gave a fair price.
