Joe Machens Ford Lincoln
Dealership Sales Review
We purchased a new 2013 Fusion, on Saturday, we did the deal over the phone, with a lot of back and forth on price. I was trading in another vehicle, sent photos down and we had a rough estimate of $1500, which I thought was a little low. They would not take an out of state check, we had to hire the full amount down, we set up an appointment to get the vehicle at 10:00, arrived at 9:30, and waited around twenty minutes for the salesman we were dealing with, then he had to get the car, took another 20 minutes, drive it, and then he wanted to see the car I was trading in, why was this not being done while we took the new car for a drive. After checking out the vehicle I was trading in, they said it was not in quite good as the photos showed but would honor the agreement. The paperwork then had to be completed, which took another hour. We were at the dealership for three hours, way to long. Overall, I think both the dealer and myself got a good deal, but the waiting around and the disorganization was crazy. I would recommend Machens Ford to others, but overall they could do better. Everyone was VERY NICE and friendly, dealership was clean. I just thought that the whole process could have been completed in less than an hour. We kept saying we were under a time line, but it did not help. We also purchased another vehicle that day in the Lake of the Ozarks, again we did the deal over the phone, when we got to the dealer, the van was washed, gassed up and ready to go. We spent 30 minutes signing forms, and we were out the door, they were willing to take an out of state check for a larger amount than the Fusion we bought from Machens.
