Herrin-Gear Lexus
Dealership Sales Review
We recently purchased a used Sequoia from Herrin Gear Lexus. After test driving it twice and asking our sales consultant Mr. Green if there were any known issues, we were assured that the vehicle had passed inspection to be put on the car lot to be sold, with only the tire sensors needing replacement. However, just one day after bringing it home and it sitting in our garage overnight , we noticed that the car leaned to one side when parked. We hadn’t noticed this during our test drives, likely because the vehicle levels out once started and was moved prior to each visit. Concerned, we took the Sequoia to a mechanic who confirmed that the rear suspension air bags are leaking. This issue seems significant enough that it should have been caught during the inspection Mr. Green told us that the dealership conducts before selling trade in vehicles. Given our positive experiences with other dealerships that provided detailed inspection reports, we were disappointed to encounter this problem, especially from a reputable dealership like Herrin Gear Lexus. While the service manager was polite and mentioned that we purchased the car "as is," I believe this issue was noticeable enough that it should have been disclosed to us before the sale. I appreciate his willingness to check with the service department, but this experience has certainly shaken our trust. I wanted to share this feedback to help other potential buyers make informed decisions. Thank you for the opportunity to provide input through your survey.
