My Excursion had pealing paint on the tail gate around the handle. Then is spread to the bottom edge. I was concerned. I brought it to the Ford dealer and asked them to please contact Ford. They did and I received a new tail gate because it was rusting from the inside out. I was very pleased to hear this. My Excursion is only 2 years old!
