Wally Edgar Chevrolet
Dealership Sales Review
Unfortunately, I had a horrible experience and will never purchase another vehicle from Wally Edgar Chevrolet. In addition, I will not take any of my vehicles for service/maintenance. Initially, I was told my 2018 Traverse would be purchased to cover remaining balance, since the retail costs escalated. I asked, are you sure? Again, I was assured that there would not be an issue regardless of the miles because the extra payments I would make during the coming moths would balance it out. Well, that isn’t exactly what happened. When I took my 2018 Traverse in for trade. I was told that my transmission was shuddering and it would cost $6000. The vehicle ran perfectly and I never experienced a problem and it was well maintained throughput the years. In addition, I am an OnStar member and have the diagnostic app, which notifies me of any service, maintenance or failures such as oil changes, tire pressure, engine and transmission, antilock braking system, StabilTrak Stability Control, Air Bag System, Emissions and other services. The app is terrific! It continuously monitors the vehicles performance and sends alerts - no issues found, action suggested and immediate attention required. Also, I have the upgraded service that allows me to contact OnStar for a to the minute diagnostic to ensure there are no false alerts and/or for actions needed. That said, I never received any notifications with any transmission issues or concerns. Not only was I told my transmission was faulty, but there was no way the dealership would purchase my vehicle under these conditions. So, the sales rep recommended I sell it through an auction. Against my better judgement, I did as he suggested. Supposedly, the vehicle sold at action for approximately $1K less than I owed. So, I accepted the offer. Now, keep in mind, I never was presented with a diagnosis report from the dealership indicating that the transmission was shuddering and needed to be replaced. Additionally, I was never given any paperwork for the sale of the vehicle from the auction. For these reasons, I do not trust or have the confidence that the dealership was transparent. Instead, I feel I was cheated and deceived. Oh, one more thing about my experience with Wally Edgar Chevrolet – The sales representative continuously asked about financing the vehicle through one of their creditors. I politely refused on multiple occasions because it was more convenient for me to utilize my credit union to keep all my accounts under one umbrella. I felt uncomfortable with the high pressure sales tactic and finally explained that my credit union will handle the financing. He was disappointed in my decision, and actually said, he and the dealership get paid more money if I went through them, which is another indicator Wally Edgar has their best interest at heart and do whatever it takes to make the sale at the cost of the customer. I hope this explains my reasons having a disappointing experience, at best with Wally Edgar Chevrolet, and why I will never purchase a Chevrolet again. If you need any clarification, or have any questions or concerns, you may contact me via email or phone at any time.
