Warning internet shoppers- bait and switch

Silko did not honor their pre-negotiated internet car prices. It is a complete bait and switch. My sister and I each wanted to buy a crv. We had emailed Darnell back and forth and agreed on a price for both cars. We went in on Sunday and spent 3hours there, test driving the cars we wanted to buy. When it was time to write up the papers the business manager, Chris came to me with diifferent prices from what we had already agreed upon. I had negotiated once via email. I did not want to do it again. I showed the business manager the email chain of the car negotiation. He would not honor it. I am incredibly embarrassed. What a waste of my and my sister's time. I had convinced my sister to go to this dealership because I thought they were very up front with their pricing and it would be a smooth car buying process. I would never recommend anyone to go here.

I received multiple emails after the end of that business day that said "As we are nearing the end of our month we are way behind our monthly quota. So what this means is we need to take every deal possible!!Please let us know if there is anything we can do to earn your business. This weekend we will be considering all reasonable offers!!" This is obviously not true because I went that weekend and they would not honor the original offer. I know my offer was reasonable because Honda of Boston accepted it immediately. They also have lower document fees. Their document fee is only $298 vs Silko $399. Do not get tricked by Silko. I can't believe I even considered paying $100 because I thought silko would be as smoother process. WRONG WRONG WRONG.

Kim, First of all I would like to thank you for giving us feedback regarding your experience with our team on Sunday. I apologize I was unable to respond to you sooner but I have been out with the flu. I understand you have been in direct contact with the vice president but I wanted to reach out to you on here since you felt the need to publicize your feedback on not one, but four different websites. On January 12th, Darnell reached out to you with the following email - “Great news! We have decided to accept your offer! However, it has to be on an in stock vehicle good until the close of business tomorrow! We have White in stock for the 2018 CRV Touring. Please let me know what time we can expect your visit.” We did in fact accept your offer on the 12th, for a pre-negotiated price that you asked for. I certainly apologize that we were not able to come to terms on this vehicle, but unfortunately pricing is subject to change and, as you know, the pre-negotiated price was only valid until the close of business the next day. With that said, I’d like to congratulate you on and your sister on your vehicle purchase and regret that we were unable to assist you.
