Coastal Nissan

I am disappointed by this dealer. Either they are not in control of their inventory or they used a cheap trick to bring me to their dealership in order to sell something else. Both ways it is not acceptable and made me waist my time. I live almost 20 miles away from this dealer. I called to find out if they have any 2011 altima hybrid base model available or not. A manager named Mike from sales dept. answered me and told me that they have a few of them in the lot. When I asked him if he is sure (since the location of this dealer is not close to me)he put me on hold to double check. When he returned ,he told me he is sure that they have a few altima hybrid base model vehicles available and asked me if I could go there the same day. I pushed my work schedule and drove 35 minutes in the evening rush hour only to find out they dont have any hybrid vehicles at all. They tried to sell me a gas engine car instead. Mike wasn`t helpful at all. A gentleman named Steve(Who claimed he is above Mike) apologized politely but he couldnt help either. He told me he could get an hybrid from another dealer if I accept his price. He simply subtracted the Nissan factory rebate and my trade in value from the MSRP and came up with a high number. But he didnt give me any discount on behalf of his dealership. I am not sure but is it possible that he just wanted to be able to tell me he was going to get me the car I wanted only if I accepted his price? I just wanted to share my experience.
