Rodman Ford

Compared to my last car buying experience at a different dealership, Rodman really wasn’t bad. Jim was pleasant to work with, and the financing guy was not pushy about extra packages or upselling. There was a bit of the typical wheel and dealing with the manager when we asked questions about some of the cars issues (the old “we’re losing money on this car!”), but at the end of the day, we did get a fair deal on a nice used car. My big complaint is that their “detailing” department is a joke. I don’t expect it to be the same as a place that charges $500 and spends 6 hours on my car, but even after asking multiple times for them to at least clean the cup holders and get mud out of the seatbelts, the car was just doused in armor all and not actually clean. The cup holders were coated in nasty crud and not even wiped out once. There was still dog hair everywhere. Maybe some people are fooled by armor all but it was honestly laughable and I asked so many times to no avail that we just quit trying. If the expectation is that they don’t really clean it, ok, but don’t tell me it’ll be “detailed” when my 4 year old could do a better job.
