Car dealers all advertise online, it's just how we shop now. But they don't all do it the same way. Some will list all of the features of the cars they sell, in a manner consistent with the auto manufacturer. Others seem to invent things to advertise, perhaps in the hopes of confusing the consumer and causing them to actually pick up the phone. Koons Volvo did a good job of accurately describing their vehicles online, and it was easy to check their inventory to see what they had. The only unfortunate part was this: they advertised the total MSRP of the vehicle, including destination. And then they also offer a "wow" price, which is the discounted price. What they don't tell you is that the "wow" price does NOT include the almost $800 destination charge. They do calculate the discount, between the advertised MSPR and their "wow" price. But this is not really the savings. When I challenged the sales manager on this, he did finally concede that it was "somewhat confusing"...... You think? So we did wind up working out a compromise, and once that was done, everything was fine. My salesman Mike Beck was a very helpful young man, and the manager Mike Yoon was similarly good to work with. He even found a way for me to save more money with volvo's 2 free payment offer. I shopped for a very long time for a new vehicle. This dealer allowed me to take a demo car out for a weekend long test drive of the car I was considering, which was really terrific, and confirmed my decision to buy. A few others made similar offers but they were generally dealers with huge inventories of cars I did not want. Once you've decided on a specific car, you do have the opportunity to shop it amongst all the area dealers to see which one will give you e best price. I found that after calling around, Koons was giving what I considered a very good deal (way lower than the edmunds TMV price) so I was happy to purchase from them. We'll see how the service goes, but for now, I'm a happy owner of a new S60 and it is great! I would recommend my team at Koons, whether for a Volvo or a Kia. I'm just glad to be done with my search for a new car.
