Dealership Service Review
Let me tell you about my service...I dropped my car off around 0815 for an oil change and tire rotation. They called and said I should replace the coolant in the hybrid system of my 2012 volt. I asked them to charge my car and they ensured me twice it would be done. I return to get my car around 2 PM. Problem 1: Charging port open, windows down, two employees smoking around my car, and no charging plug in the port. Get in the car with no battery left. Go back and say it is annoying that my car stinks like smoke with no charge, but not the end of the world. Problem 2: This is the big deal! Get less than 400 meters from the dealership and my car is smoking so bad the cop at the light told me to turn around. Get back to the service bay while still smoking. In less than 5 minutes on the bay floor, the car drops a small puddle of oil on the floor. The techs look over the engine as it is still smoking, take it back to the service bay and "clean it". Problem 3: Say it is just a overfill. Cleaned the engine and should be fine. Make the service manager ride with me and in 5 minutes , the car is burning oil and dripping from under the engine cover. Service manager shows the techs with his phone where it is. They take it back to the service bay again. Problem 4: Bring it back out and say they didn't put the funnel in correctly and lots spilled but all cleaned up now. The service director Derek was a very condescending human being. When he said I can't fix the past, he should at least make it right because his team is the one who broke my car in the past. I had to be 4.5 hours away for military duty that night, so I had to leave. They wrote a BS letter. Unfortunately, my car is bricked in the parking lot at Norfolk Naval Base, smelling like smoke. I hope someone reads this review and is willing to contact me to make this right. I took a perfect vehicle into dealership and came back with junk...So sad.
