Dealership Sales Review
My wife and I purchased a 2016 Suburban from Will at Bill Hood a few months ago. The salesman, Will, was excellent. When we couldn't find the vehicle we wanted on the lot, he got the exact vehicle that we were looking for that Bill Hood's daughter was driving. They had it delivered to us and cleaned the same day. However, that's where the great service ended. The day after we purchased it my wife brought it back to Bill Hood to see if they could touch up a nick in the paint from a rock that we couldn't see when we drove it home the night before. She was told by the service department that there was nothing they could do because it was "a liability issue". They did, however, have no problem selling her a $28 bottle of touch up paint to fix it herself. It only got worse from there. As an out of state military member we were titling the vehicle in another state. They assured us that everything would be filed properly. Fast forward two months and we got a letter from NC saying that they just received the paperwork and it was signed by a notary but not actually notarized. When I went back to Bill Hood they told me to drive to Hammond to the notary who messed it up at Bill Hood Mazda. My aggravation of having to drive over an hour round trip to fix their mistake was only made worse when the notary greeted me with an attitude and assured me that she was doing me a favor by notarizing this from that she "usually doesn't have to deal with". The only reason I give them two stars is because of the salesman, Will. He was stellar. Everyone involved in the process after that ensured that we will never purchase another vehicle from a Bill Hood dealership.
