Dealership Sales Review
First, when negotiating my vehicle price, I was given misleading information. I was told I was receiving $8000 for my trade-in, when in fact, I was getting only $6000 for my trade-in, but they were adding $2000 from the rebate. I had to have them rewrite the agreement to show numbers accurately. Also, they were very pushy to get my to fill out a credit application when I was just starting to look at cars. Next, once we decided on a car, it was late at night and we hadn't had dinner yet. They wouldn't let us finish the paperwork the next day so we had to stay until 9:30 to finish everything. I'm pregnant, so having to wait for dinner until 10 at night was very frustrating. When I had a chance to look at the car in the daylight the next day, I saw there was a large scratch and the bumper was loose on this brand new car, so I had to take it back in to the body shop to be repaired. Four days after we signed the paperwork, we had to go back in because they weren't able to get us the interest rate we had initially signed paperwork for. They did offer to increase the amount on our trade to accommodate our increased interest payments. After signing that paperwork, we were called another week later because they had created the loan paperwork for the wrong VIN number. After going in to sign that paperwork, I receive another phone call a few weeks later asking for change of name confirmation, since my maiden name was listed on the trade in. After taking that in, my trade-in loan was finally supposed to be paid off on February 2nd, (we traded it in on January 5th). Even after my car had been traded in, I had to make another car payment, on a car I no longer owned, because they took so long to pay off my trade-in. Then last week, I get a letter in the mail from Rusty Eck demanding that we pay them an extra $200 because the trade-in payoff balance was higher than what we had quoted. Well, of course it was because they took an extra month to pay off the loan. Luckily, after we called in, they understood and waived the $200. Now, February 19, a month and a half after the trade, my previous loan is finally paid off.
