Currie Motors Ford of Valpo

If you want to give your money to a bait and switch dealership then you have found your match. Sadly this dealer has advertised their dealer price for Mavericks nearly $10k and over. Yes all dealers have sold out their alliance to Ford Motor Company and are over charging consumers for new Mavericks because of greed. I called this dealership hoping I had found an honest one but much to my dismay and lost time going back and forth with their internet expert, the salesman had to lay it on the line when I asked what the real price was if indeed they were doing what the other dealerships were as well. Where they "got me" was that they list the MSRP as their price and then let you have the inflated price after inquiring. Ford Motor Company is furious with these dealers especially what Currie said to me when I was told that a customer had backed out of the deal and that is why they had the vehicles in stock. Turns out customers could not back out and had to commit to the sale. Dealers have been caught buying them under false pretenses as in for a customer simply to have the vehicle to sell. Dealers have also been caught upping the price 10 or 20k per vehicle after customers ordered them for the "real" price. I would think then the customer could walk away from the deal. It is horrible what is going on and sadly when this young salesman let me know that he just had to do what he was told, and has a family to take care of, that is horrifically sad to know it's ok to gouge the other guy in order to feed yourself. I would walk away from that job and find another way to feed my family. And I grew up in the car business so I know exactly how this is all playing out. I can only pray there will be "One" dealership in all of these United States who will honor Fords intentions of offering the average consumer an affordable truck like the Maverick at the price they were asked to charge. Don't be surprised if Ford breaks it's ties with Ford franchises because of this unethical practice. Kudos to Ford Motor Company. You dealers would have nil if it wasn't for them. Thought because of the internet bait and switch was gone forever. Sadly not.
