Carver Toyota of Columbus
Dealership Sales Review
Upon acquiring my 2013 Toyota Prius V initially, the salesperson Skylar Bryant provided misinformation by assuring me that the battery was covered under a 150,000-mile warranty. In a rushed manner, the finance manager Richard C. Wright pressured me into hastily signing the paperwork, citing an impending closure of their operations. Unfortunately, I succumbed to this pressure. Subsequently, when I researched the battery warranty online, I discovered that it was only valid for 100,000 miles or 8 years, whichever occurred first. Skylar Bryant and I reached an agreement for a $300 reimbursement regarding the warranty discrepancy. However, my attempts to communicate with him regarding this matter were in vain as he had left the company and ceased all correspondence. I then approached Chealsey Smith to address the situation. Following her discussion with her manager, she informed me that resolving the matter would necessitate contacting Skylar Bryant, who was unresponsive after leaving his position. Additionally, it came to my attention that I had overpaid my car sales tax by $200.61. Despite reaching out to Chealsey Smith regarding this matter, I did not receive any follow-up communication. Regrettably, based on my experience of encountering deceptive sales tactics, unresponsive personnel, and discrepancies in financial transactions, I cannot recommend engaging in any business transactions with this dealership.
