I came into Advantage Chevrolet of Bolingbrook with the intention of “just test driving” the new Bolt EUV — I had little-to-no knowledge of how EVs worked, and I was going in for a “do I love it, or do I hate it” assessment. After visiting a few other Chevy dealers who claimed to have the car on their lot (which was not the case), I was thrilled to see the car prepped and ready for me to test drive when I pulled in. Gary Summers could not have been more kind, knowledgeable, or patient with me while I explored all the features of the Bolt EUV. After several test drive laps around the industrial park, I was sold, and was thrilled to be leaving that day with a new car! . . . except I had driven to the dealership, so now I had two cars to drive home. Gary graciously volunteered to follow me home in my new car — about 30 minutes away — and was a great copilot on the way back to the dealership, explaining even more features of the car as we went. Extra kudos to Ryan Sitter, who made the financial side of things easy, painless, and entertaining! The team at Advantage Chevrolet of Bolingbrook never made me feel pressured to purchase a car, never pushed an upsell, and was incredibly upfront about the expenses of purchasing an EV. Let’s all hope that gone are the days of the pushy salesman who gets you in a car you never wanted in the first place, and that more dealerships start operating like Advantage Chevrolet!
