Shield repair

The driver-side front fender shield slipped down on a drive. I pushed it up in place, but it was still loose. The mechanic at AutoNation did not find the problem at first, but determined it was not fixable after I pointed it out and replacement would be over $300. I indicated I wanted a 2nd opinion and was not charged for the assessment. I took the car to a local mechanic who reinstalled the shield with the rivets still in place in less than an hour for $25.
