AutoNation Toyota Pinellas Park
Dealership Sales Review
When you’re buying a used car, the best you can hope for is honesty and transparency, in my opinion. Of course you won’t really know if you’ve been swindled until much later. But sometimes you can get an impression. Lots of folks expect salespeople and other staff will say anything to complete a sale, whether or not it’s true. AutoNation Toyota is certainly no exception. They went through the motions. They said my vehicle would be “detailed.” I agreed to the purchase, I got a loan, I brought the check and the plate. I did my part. They didn’t do their part. I was given excuses. Immediately after the purchase I had to spend my own money to repair things that I was told would be taken care of. And I am paying for my own detailing since theirs came up way short of expectations. In addition the second key that I was assured I’d receive was not given to me and it looks like I’ll end up paying out of pocket for that. AutoNation has a no haggle pricing arrangement, so there is no negotiation on price. But you have to count on a salesperson and his/her management to do simple, straightforward things like not forcing you to pay several hundred dollars after a purchase to do what they’d promised to do. You can’t count on them. They’re no different than any other used car dealer. Dishonest. And not concerned with a customer’s purchase experience.
