Dealership Service Review
My service experience at AFM has been very good so far in six months and two service visits. My advisor Jose has become someone I can trust regarding the vehicle, and has always been accommodative on price. I would appreciate being forwarded pictures of the issues being worked on by the technician, for instance brake pad depth or coolant hose damage (my most recent issue), which was standard practice at my Ford dealership in Tampa but not here. My 2015 Focus has been the subject of two widely-known CSPs related to the transmission clutch and control module, and my car spent a month in the shop last summer related to severe transmission shudder and eventual failure. I have been noticing more shudder during acceleration recently, and asked Jose whether the technician noticed it as well during the test drive. Jose reported to me that the technician "did not notice a transmission shudder," which I am having trouble interpreting as honest, given that I experience it every day. The dealership could be more forthright with pictures and information from the tech group, but if AFM fixes that I would heartily recommend it to other Ford owners.
