5-7 day wait for diagnostics after dropping car off at given appointment

onWas given appointment 1 week out, took vehicle in on given date, was told i would have to leave it 5-6 days just to run diagnostics on because of being backed up and lack of technicians. . Why make an appointment in the first place ? I asked if i could have a loaner and was told yes but at my expense ?? bought my jeep in 2023 with full warranty. Service here sucks !!
