Dishonest Experience

I am very unimpressed with this car dealership, and I would avoid doing business with them. I purchased a used car from AutoNation Chevrolet North at the end of November 2022 (1 Year old and less than 10k miles). Prior to purchase of the car, I noticed an extreme cherry smell that was added to the car. I asked whether or not they were hiding any cigarette smell in the vehicle. They reassured me over and over that there was no history of cigarette smoking and that they do not use that specific smell to mask cigarette smoke. Four days after I purchased the car, the cherry smell dissipated and was replaced by a strong smell of cigarettes. Fortunately, I was able to return the car within their 5 day return period. When I returned the car, they assured me they would have a check in the mail to me the following day for the down payment amount I provided at purchase. I came to find out that was completely untrue, and I was alerted 5 days later it takes at least a week to even get the check printed/processed. The whole process with this dealership felt extremely dishonest from beginning to end..
