Poor customer service

onThe service was to prepare for a trip--oil change, tires rotated, and overall check-up. We were quoted a two hour wait time. Two and a half hours later I contacted the service rep and asked if the car was done. It was and he said he couldn't find us in the waiting room. There were text message and phone calls on my cell phone, but I didn't respond because I didn't hear either message. This is the second time this has happened with no contact from the service department while our car was being serviced. Does the customer have to check on the progress of the service being done?
