Dealership Sales Review

Adding insult to injury

I was held "hostage" for FOUR HOURS, then rushed through the paperwork signing. I never had the Dealer Add-ons described to me other than "these are charges that everyone pays." These charges were avoidable, as the car was not yet at the dealership--it was "in transit." I ended up paying $3000 "tuition" for not having gone in prepared to be scammed. Further, the General Manager came in and bullied me when I was there to alter the contract because of the COSTCO credit being renewed--I wanted to also remove those charges for useless add-ons. He claimed that I had no right to change a signed contract (even though I was there for that very purpose). The car wasn't even on the lot yet--still "in transit." Yeah, I got a good deal because I brought in a lot of funding through Replace-Your-Ride--but they still stole $3000. Moreover, they "arranged" a very unfavorable(to me) financing (10+%)--I have a credit rating of 810. For me, it's moot, as I intend to pay it off almost immediately. However, it is clear that they are again lining their pockets at my expense. All in all, nice people, except the general manager, stealing as much of your money as they can. Probably no worse than any dealership. Don't go in trusting... I won't get the car for another month--so I don't know if they will fulfill all commitments, yet. Vox Clamantis in Deserto--I don't expect anyone to see this review. Update August 2025: Edit(8/26/2025) I just found out that the ceramic clear coat that I was tricked into "buying" will have to be removed in order to install the color wrap that I always intended for this car. In fact, I showed both the finance manager and my salesman a picture of how I intended to wrap it. They both thought it looked good and distinctive. And yet, they still had no problem with hooking me with the $2k, price-gouged charge! Even the wrap contractor was amazed by the overcharge. No, $2000 (+the cost to remove the clear coat to wrap the car) isn't going to break the bank--but it shows just how little they value their honor and their customers' interests. PS--I "recommend" this dealership because they are the only one that works with Replace-Your-Ride with a full range of offerings. Just go in prepared for their intentions that hide behind their smiles. I wish I had been able to post a simple, positive review of my experience, instead of all this.
