Cavenaugh Ford Lincoln
Dealership Sales Review
Cavenaugh Ford ~ Lincoln in Jonesboro AR. Cavenaugh Ford ~ Lincoln has been requesting feedback from a recent purchase I made there. So, here it is. Cavenaugh published the availability of a Lincoln Corsair. For several months I had been looking at adds for a Corsair. Their equipment list looked good, the price was reasonable (I had been looking for a used Corsair because of the big first year depreciation on new ones). I clicked on the link on the add to see if it was indeed available. Cavenaughs’ contacted me and asked if I could schedule a test drive. I explained that it was about a 4-hour drive from my home to the dealership. I didn’t think I could drive the 8 hours to be able to look at/test drive the car. They said no problem . . . that I could make the purchase over the internet. I said no . . . that I also had a nice Toyota that I would need to trade in, if I purchased something. Again, Cavenaugh said no problem, that I could send them photos of my trade-in. I did . . . they offered me a trade deal. I said there is another problem . . . I would need to finance part of the Corsair. Again, Cavenaugh said no problem that they had several lenders to work with and could get me the needed financing. I worried and thought long and hard about just trading for a car . . . sight unseen. Then I saw Cavenaugh was providing a ‘CARFAX’ for the Corsair. I studied this ‘CARFAX’ and found out; when the car was built, the original selling dealer, the number and location of owners, each time and the mileage that the car had been serviced. ‘CARFAX’ also told me the number of months and the number of miles that the Corsair had of remaining Lincoln Warrantee. This is good at any Ford or Lincoln dealer in the Country. I talked to folks at Cavenaugh. I told them that the deal looked good to me but that I was still about a 4-hour drive away. Again, Cavenaugh said no problem . . . They said that if I wanted the deal, all of the paperwork and, all of the necessary signatures could be made over the internet. This was on a Friday. I said I’m still 4 hours away. Cavenaugh said no problem. We will deliver the Corsair to you, and bring your Toyota back here. I said, “How long will this take?” They said, “Not later than Monday.” I was skeptical . . . but I said OK. Cavenaugh sent me a link on the computer. I’ll be honest, I’m not really very computer savvy. It took me a couple of hours to get through all of it. But I did. We talked on the phone a couple of times, but I got through it. I was concerned when Monday morning came. I waited until about 9 AM to call Cavenaugh. They said your car left here at 8 this morning. It should be at your home by 1 PM. 😃 It was. . . The Corsair looks like a new one. I haven’t found a scratch, dent or paint chip anywhere. It is exactly as described and as it looked in the photos. So, if you are wondering if you can find a car, look at photos, make a trade, get the new one financed and have your new ride delivered to your door. . . . I don’t know if you can . . . But I did.
