I need to be completely transparent about my experience over the past several days. I’ve been given the runaround by your management team for four days now. Initially, I was told I was approved with $5k down, signed the documents, and was ready to move forward. But when I arrived at the dealership, everything suddenly changed without explanation. More importantly, what I find deeply troubling is how my husband and I were treated once we arrived in person. Before our visit, all communication was respectful and straightforward. But when we walked in together, the energy shifted entirely. We were ignored, dismissed, and ultimately lied to. It genuinely felt as if our presence made people uncomfortable. After repeatedly asking to speak to a manager, we were finally told the only offer available was $12k down with a 27% interest rate, which is entirely unreasonable, especially considering I’ve been with Honda Financial and Audi/VW Financial for years and have never had a rate above 5%. The truth is, I believe we were discriminated against. There is no other explanation for the abrupt change in tone, the complete lack of effort to assist us, and the fact that I now have over 23 credit inquiries on my report without a single viable solution being offered. It’s clear your team didn’t want to help us, two gay men, buy a car. This experience has been offensive, damaging to my credit, and frankly, discriminatory. I expected professionalism and honesty, and instead received judgment and poor treatment. I hope this feedback is taken seriously. No one should be treated the way we were.
