2022 Chevrolet Colorado LT 4dr Crew Cab 5.1 ft. SB (2.5L 4cyl 6A)
I work at a Chevy dealership. I was able to get employee pricing as well. For a 2WD, 4 Cyl, crew cab for 30K….MSRP was over 35K (still a lot, but decent nowadays for a truck) this is all I need. I’m over 6 feet tall and can get in/out very easily. No steps needed. The ride is average but I don’t need plush. I’ve driven both the 4 and 6 cylinders and to be honest, around town they are the … same. The 4 cylinder has 4.10 gears so it feels peppy. The difference is when they are floored, the 6 cyl pulls harder around 5-6k rpm. That’s it. I average 23-24 mpg. My family fits. I don’t tow. Just trips to hardware stores, Costco, occasional piece of furniture. I live in southeast flat Texas no 4wd needed here. I could drive a big fancy Silverado but, again this has all I need and nothing I don’t. I did get the leather seats, projector headlight package, argent wheels (highly recommend all). Super easy to drive and turning radius is just amazing. Don’t expect the latest and greatest. This is the last year of this body style it just had slight refreshes to kept it updated. I wanted this because all kinks have been sorted. New body style looks incredible but they will (as all new body styles do) have problems. No turbo problems either to worry about with the old model. Just a regular truck with a nice screen I plug my phone into for apple carplay. If you tow or simply want a little more power get the v6. If you need 4wd, then get 4wd. I had equity from my trade in so this will be paid off in about 3 years now, hope to keep for awhile and get my monies worth. These colorados, even 4 cyl, hold their value. Not as good as a Tacoma but pretty good. If this sounds like what you are looking for, go test drive one. THIS IS ALL YOU NEED!!!
