M Driver's Package$2,500
- This is a 1-day high performance driving class created specifically for BMW M vehicles. The class includes hands-on performance driving training in a controlled environment. This option also includes an increased top speed of the owner's vehicle.

- BMW Iconic Glow Kidney Grille, which is illumination that traces the contours of the grille surround located at the front of the car's exterior

- Interior Camera, an image capturing system located overhead, within the vehicle. It can be used by occupants inside the vehicle or operated remotely, using the app MyBMW. It also activates automatically, when the Anti-Theft Recorder is triggered. When the vehicle's anti-theft alarm activates, the owner is alerted via smartphone. They can then remotely take and save pictures of the interior and exterior of the vehicle (the latter using the vehicle's exterior-mounted cameras).
- Parking Assistant Plus, which includes integrated cameras (in addition to those that are included as standard) to produce a 3D visual representation of the view surrounding the vehicle when the driver is parking. This also includes Panorama View, providing a visual representation of areas beyond the driver's un-aided field of view. Drive Recorder is also included and can capture video of the view around the vehicle.

- M Laptimer, which is used to record the duration of a lap around a race course

ACC Stop and Go Plus Active Driving Assistant$650
- Active Cruise Control, which when engaged, operates as normal cruise control until it senses a slower moving vehicle directly ahead. At that time, the cruise control matches the speed of the M5 to that of the slower moving vehicle, maintaining a driver selected, pre-set distance between the two vehicles. The Stop & Go function will bring the M5 to a complete stop if the vehicle ahead stops. Upon application of the accelerator, Active Cruise Control allows the car to start moving again. Once there's no longer any nearby slower moving traffic ahead, the cruise control resumes initial speed set by the driver
- Active Driving Assistant
- Steering Assistant, which keeps the vehicle centered in a given lane by applying steering inputs when needed.
