Driving Assistance Professional Package$2,500
- Active Driving Assistant Pro (Active Cruise Control with stop and go functions, Active Lane Keeping Assistant with Side Collision Avoidance, Automatic Lane Change, Evasion Assistant and Cross-traffic Alert for the front of the car)
- Highway Assistant, allowing the driver to choose hands-free operation of the vehicle at speeds up to 85 mph on closed access highways. Driver attention is continually monitored with a camera that faces them.

- Sky Lounge Roof (a fixed glass panel that spans most of the car's roof, and a power operated sunshade for the glass panel)

- Glass controls (hand-made, diamond cut glass for the gear selector, engine start/stop button and iDrive controller knob)
- Interior Camera, an image capturing system located overhead, within the vehicle. It can be used inside the vehicle or remotely, using the app MyBMW. It also activates automatically, when the Anti-Theft Recorder is triggered. When the vehicle's anti-theft alarm activates, the owner is alerted via smartphone. They can then remotely take and save pictures of the interior and exterior of the vehicle.

- ACC Stop and Go Plus Active Driving Assistant. When engaged, Active Cruise Control operates as normal cruise control until it senses a slower moving vehicle directly ahead. At that time, the cruise control matches the speed of the i5 to that of the slower moving vehicle, maintaining a driver selected, pre-set distance between the two vehicles. The Stop & Go function will bring the i5 to a complete stop if the vehicle ahead stops. Upon application of the accelerator, Active Cruise Control allows the car to start moving again. Once there's no longer any nearby slower moving traffic ahead, the cruise control resumes initial speed set by the driver. Also included is Active Driving Assistant and Active Steering Assistant, the latter capable of keeping the vehicle centered in a given lane by applying steering inputs when needed.
- Parking Assistant Plus, which includes additional, integrated cameras to produce a 3D visual representation of the view surrounding the vehicle when the driver is parking. This also includes Panorama View, providing a visual representation of areas beyond the driver's un-aided field of view. Drive Recorder is also included and can capture video of the view around the vehicle
