Modern E39?

2023 BMW 5 Series 540i 4dr Sedan (3.0L 6cyl Turbo gas/electric mild hybrid 8A)
I've owned now two G30 540i's. A 2018 and now a 2023. I've also been the owner of a 2005 E60 530i Sport, and a 2013 535i. To me the G30 has come the closest to feeling like a modern day E39. Styling looks similar, the ride quality is firm yet supple without feeling harsh like it did sometimes on the E60 and the F10. Sure the steering doesn't have a lot of feedback but it is precise and … you can still tell what's going on with the front tires without getting back all the negative feedback from the car tramlining, and having to correct the steering at highway speeds. Interior quality is excellent and the balance between handling and ride comfort is top notch.
