  basically yes, the plant is struggling to meet the demand in the US (not sure if that's where you are located), in fact they took 25% of Canada's production to help with this and here in Canada it is very difficult to get one too.   its quite possible due to the very high demand in the US with supply having trouble meeting it. Sales for 2011 were up 52% over 2010 and for the first six months of this year the sales are up 15%.   2010 Kia Soul Exclaim, bought in November 2009. Now has 40,000 miles. Average MPG is 25 MPG on trips and 23 MPG around town. Times back to dealer for problems, NONE. Oil Change every 3000 miles. Preferred vehicle to take on trips from Atlanta to Memphis. Comfort factor is adequate. Other vehicle is Honda Pilot that sits in garage quite a bit because of low MPG compared to Soul.   I got my Soul+ for a price I cannot say, I Think I SOUL (Stole) it as it was less than any posted. I have Soul + with audio upgrade, cargo cover, cargo net, cargo liner, floor mats, Sun Roof and 7yr Unlimited Mileage Glass Coat / Teflon Protection. $18420 + 895 Glass Coat = Soul Tell them Jeff Sent Ya...   just picked up a 2010 soul (!) model automatic with no extra options. msrp $18890, invoice was $17,995. paid $17774 ($221 BELOW invoice) + tax/tags. also got 3 years with 0% financing.
